Brenda Quinlisk,
CEO
Brenda brings over 30 years of leadership experience spanning both the government contracting (GovCon) and private sectors. With a strong foundation in human resources and management, she excels in driving organizational growth and cultivating high-performing teams.
Having dedicated 15 years to the GovCon industry, including six years at Kalani Consulting, Brenda has specialized in HR strategy and development. In addition, she offers 15 years of management and training expertise from her work in the private sector, equipping her with a versatile leadership approach that blends strategic insight and relationship building.
A passionate advocate for program development and client outreach, Brenda is committed to ensuring the highest standards of quality, technical excellence, and mentorship. She invests deeply in the success of both employees and customers, championing their growth and satisfaction.
As CEO, Brenda fosters a collaborative and innovative culture grounded in transparency, integrity, and long-term success. Staying true to Kalani's Hawaiian roots, she strives to incorporate the "Aloha Spirit" and a "family ('Ohana) first" philosophy into Kalani Consulting, ensuring that both clients and employees feel valued and supported. Another important Hawaiian concept Brenda embraces is "Imua", which means to move forward, make progress, and advance towards a goal. She carries this principle with her, both personally and professionally, encouraging the continual growth and development of those around her.
A native of the Washington DC area, Brenda knows her way around the Beltway! She lives in Silver Spring, MD with her family and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Alabama. (Roll Tide!)

Meg Meek,
President
Meg Meek serves as the President of Kalani Consulting Inc. (KCI), where she is responsible for shaping the company’s overall strategy and guiding it toward sustainable growth and operational excellence. In her leadership role, Meg emphasizes the importance of cultivating strong relationships with employees, teammates, and clients, ensuring that collaboration, trust, and integrity are at the heart of KCI’s continued success. With over 14 years of experience in public accounting and government contracting, she leverages her extensive expertise to drive data-driven insights and growth initiatives that consistently enhance performance and deliver tangible value to all stakeholders.
Prior to her current position, Meg held several key financial leadership roles within government contracting firms, where she worked closely with the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Department of State (DoS). She has a deep proficiency in Unanet and has successfully led numerous system implementations throughout her career. Meg earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Alabama and resides in Enterprise, AL with her family.


Duane Nathaniel,
Founder, Executive Advisor
Duane Nathaniel founded Kalani Consulting Inc. in 2009 with a vision to blend his extensive IT expertise, the mission-driven approach honed through his military experience, and the values rooted in his Hawaiian ancestry, creating a strong foundation for business success.
With over 34 years of experience in both the commercial and public sectors, Duane has held significant roles at prestigious organizations such as KPMG, Grant Thornton, General Electric, Arthur D. Little, Oracle Corporation, and Acuity Inc. In these positions, he managed the delivery of IT consulting services to a range of Federal agencies. His areas of expertise include management consulting, systems development, and integration services, with a proven track record serving clients such as the Department of State, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Energy, Department of Defense, Department of Agriculture, and the Department of the Interior. He is particularly skilled in Program and Project Management, Business Process Engineering, and Systems Analysis, Design, Development, and Deployment.
Duane is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and History from Gonzaga University and a Master's Degree in Management Science from Troy State University. Additionally, Duane is a retired Lieutenant Colonel from the US Army, having completed over 27 years of service in Active, National Guard, and Reserve assignments.
